New BPM Self-Assessment tool will help you define your competencies

Are your business processes under control? A free web tool by iGrafx allows an initial assessment
Industry-leading provider of Business Process Management solutions: iGrafx.

Karlsfeld Munich, 10 July 2013. iGrafx, a leading provider of solutions for Business Process Management (BPM), is now offering companies a web tool to assess their BPM competencies. Anyone who would like to get an overview of the maturity level of its BPM solutions and status, also compared with the competitors, can go to http://igrafx.capability-benchmark.com/. Under this link the user will get a first assessment within a very short time and without any costs.

This new BPM self-evaluation tool allows to work out how well-suited users are to managing their business processes using a catalogue of questions and answers. The catalogue of questions is divided into the categories “Life Cycle”, “Organisation”, “Governance”, “Architecture” and “Technology”. The results include conclusions on the maturity level of the own current BPM program and provide comparative information on other similar-sized companies in the same field. Moreover, the web tool offers recommendations in the form of a personalised “BPM Action Plan” for respondents wanting to take additional steps to develop their Business Process Management further.

Once made, answers and conclusions are stored so that they can be updated at any time. These means that the online tool also provides the user with the opportunity to assess, without any significant outlay, whether your BPM programs are effective and that it is heading in the right direction.

iGrafx has specially developed this web tool to open up the possibility for potential customers and other interested parties to gain an overview of their own status in terms of BPM within a few minutes. This applies to both companies already using advanced BPM programs as well as those navigating on this terrain for the first time.

“The success of BPM programs cannot be attributed solely to the technologies and tools used. There is much more to it than this, such as the way in which the organisations involved are structured, the way in which the teams work together within business and IT, and the way in which strategic goals are connected to work and investments”, explains Armin Trautner, Europe, Middle East and Africa Managing Director at iGrafx. “We have, of course, incorporated these parameters into our online tool”.
